when people say ‘it’s just a kid’s show, don’t take it so seriously’ they’re basically denying that we ever had a childhood
we knew what we liked as children
so I’m pretty sure we’re going to know what kids are going to like/not like
and people who say that basically forgot what it means to be a kid

If the new PPG show runners react to the anger from the transunicorn episode
they’ll probably be snide and unapologetic, make excuses, or they’ll ignore it
because ignoring trans issues is basically what they did in the episode
Didn’t just ignore, they basically said if you’re trans you’re wrong and shouldn’t change your body or else you’ll become a monster. The whole episode wasn’t just ignoring, it was very transphobic
now this is what i like to see… if i’m gonna buy some fancy new Strong Product i wanna see it beat the weaker version of itself into total useless garbage…… its called innovation and i’ve never been so happy to be a capitalist…

How to fix the ppg episode
1) make the unicorn spend weeks reading the papers on the procedure
2) have the procedure be a success
3) have assholes not accept him as a unicorn because he can’t do unicorn magic with his horn
4) have the ppg stand up for him being a unicorn and talk about how it is who he truly is. He just made himself look on the outside who he was on the inside and there’s nothing wrong with that
I honestly never thought anyone could outdo Anakin-’you-underestimate-my-powers’-does-a-triple-backflip-and-gets-all-his-limbs-cut-off-Skywalker in being Extra™ but creating a bucket of your enemies ashes to angrily slam your completely unnecessary helmet into in front of prisoner company just for the villain aesthetic comes pretty damn close
