People in their early twenties still refer to people older than them as “adults”. When do you think they stop… and realize… they are adults

I’m not an adult, I’m a child with a drinking permit.

Keep it up, Disney

That IS great, but we’ve had a lot of this before. I wish people wouldn’t ignore the older movies, especially the classics, to praise the new ones-

Probably far more than that, but that’s just a few off the top of my head.

And let’s not forget Stan’s reaction when they ran into McGucket in Land Before Swine.

image

His immediate reaction is

  • annoyance
  • crossed arms (closed body language)
  • eyes darting to the corners

Where have I seen this before?

Oh yeah

image

That time he had to hide his missing brother’s glasses. Annoyance, crossed arms, darting eyes.

Stan’s a good liar, but he’s full of tells.

this show is on a whole other level

It weird how people reblog this and just accept it as some ‘deep’ quote without even challenging it. I’m not saying this because I feel like Pearl is mocking my humanity personally but because we know for a fact that the gems have very prejudice views of human.

The crystal gems see humans as inferior to them and you see that throughout the show. They don’t bother to learn the technological, try to understand their lives, or even the laws require to live with them. Everything about the human lifestyle is either weird or beneath them so why bother? The only personal interaction the gems even have with humans is usually because of Steven (either because he wants to go to a fair, festival, play volleyball or etc). So, with that being sad why do people seem to trust Pearl views on human society. She has never really bothered to learn about them in the first place, so where is this ‘profound’ information coming from.

To me this doesn’t really come off as deep. Instead I say it shows off a flaw in the gem’s character. This whole spill sounds like something about a group of people you don’t think highly of another. “Why do they do the things they do. Oh, it’s obviously because they have nothing better to do with their lives”

Welp, I dunno, I hope it looks okay.

Okay so explanation on the Quick Change Artist thing.

rosexknight:

A “Quick Change Artist” is a common (at least as far as I know) term in retail stores for a customer that comes in and buys something for a very low sum (usually about $5) and pays with $100 or $50 bills. These bills can sometimes be fake so be careful. When the cashier has rung everything out and the drawer is open the customer will then quickly take back the large bill (sometimes literally it’s very rude) and try to give the cashier exact change. It will of course not be exact change, sometimes as far as $2 less and stuff, and the customer will walk out with the product and more change than they need. Mun experienced cashiers usually fall victim to this as the QTA will seek them out on purpose to fluster them and throw them off their game.

When in doubt, call a manager. This basically always takes care of them.

If this shits cheap I’m buying 20 pounds of it and making cosplay armor.

Pics of some finished shit?

I remember this stuff in product design class. Best shit ever.

It would be great for amulets and talismans.

So everyone’s talking about Rose/Pearl’s relationship and such, but I’d like to point out another interesting thing about this episode.

When Pearl makes holo-rose, she’s recreating the scene. She repeats it, word for word. Every expression Rose made, every shift of a curl. And as we all know, Pearl is an extreme perfectionist. She wouldn’t change a detail of this scene.

So what am I getting at? Pearl’s posture.

Pearl is down on one knee. Heck, she’s GENUFLECTING. Everything about her posture and expression illustrates extreme respect, and this is before they are even allies in battle.

My next point is Rose’s Flag. It could very well be a revolution flag meant to represent the crystal gems, it’s true. But take a look at it. It’s 100% rose quartz. None of the other gems are represented on it in any way. Don’t you think it would be a little out of character for Rose, who’s all about loving everyone and everything, to make their flag all about her? It seems a little vain for this selfless gem we’ve been shown.

So here’s my theory; Rose Quartz was gem Royalty. Or at least held a very high rank. All of the gems respect her unconditionally (beyond that, they all seem positively enamored with her) she has whole armories, she has an insignia on a FLAG. It would make sense that Rose would be an incredibly important gem. As far as we know Rose was the only gem with healing abilities. Even Lapis Lazuli seemes shocked to hear that Steven had healing powers. Rose could have held the life of her entire species in her hands, which would make her pretty damn important. So if the gems do come back to earth, what will we learn about Rose, and who she was before she chose earth?

What if Rose Quartz isn’t actually Quartz?

image

Look at her gem. and well,

image

this is the pinkest piece of gemstone cut rose quartz i could find on a cursory search. See how its smokey and not really “pink” like Rose’s gem?

Well, I have a gem that matches it much better.

image

This is a rose diamond.

Also her flag has a pink triangle at the center of it

image

Sticking with the current theories of Blue-Yellow-White Diamond…

image

Triangles are pretty important.

I really love the “rose quartz was actually a diamond” theory so much

A FEMALE CHARACTER IS NOT ‘WEAK’ JUST BECAUSE SHE IS IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH A MAN, OR BECAUSE SHE CRIES OVER ONE, NOR IS SHE BEING ‘DESTROYED’ BECAUSE SHE IS IN LOVE. CAN WE STOP ACTING LIKE WOMEN HAVE TO BE EMOTIONALLY DETACHED AND HATEFUL AND ACT LIKE THEY’RE ‘TOO GOOD FOR ANY MAN’ JUST TO BE DEEMED STRONG PLEASE.
