Aang deals with cultural appropriation - (x)
People need to stop reblogging this without the rest of the comic :^)
Part 1: Aang has a negative reaction to people who mistakenly hurt his feelings but had good intentions.
Part 2: Aang calms down and acknowledges that those people’s intentions were good and instead of being upset offers to educate and inform those people and SHARES his culture.
Good message there.
Well, Krabs, you know what today is? Sorry about this calender…
March 14?
WAIT! That’s not right!
It should say…
THE DAY THAT KRABS FRIES!
The fandom triforce
ay yes the new superwholock
i can accept this
One only has a few episodes, one is siblings investigating monsters, one is ageless aliens taking a young person on adventures
The difference is that the fandom is more tolerant of other people.
Also, what would it be?
Gravity over the universe
There is a reason Gravity Falls and Korra couldn’t get away with intense lesbian stuff that Steven Universe did. It’s because Gravity Falls and Korra had HUMANS as their characters.
Remember, gay and lesbian relationships can’t be shown because Russia and China will ban the network. And the differences between male and female humans is pretty obvious. You can’t redub Korra to claim Asami is a guy. But the Gems in Steven Universe are pretty Gender Neutral looking. Heck, the only identifier of Ruby and Sapphire being lesbians is they both use female pronouns.
So all it requires to air in Russia and China is swapping Ruby’s pronouns to masculine. Tada, instant straight couple. So while you celebrate lesbians in Steven Universe, remember that it’s because they’re aliens with swappable pronouns and no gender differing traits.
