This is what is wrong with society, this is a glaring example of how bad and rampant misogyny is, that a boy would scream and cry angrily over having another sister and no one would say anything about it. Listen to how the dad reaffirms the boy’s bratty behavior. Notice how the mom says NOTHING. Look at the younger sisters, how they went from being excited to completely uncomfortable.

Are you kidding?? The kid is crying because he hoped he’d get a little brother he could share everything with because he wants what the to sisters have. Because let’s be real here, with two sisters and no brother, the boy will always feel excluded. Stop throwing your hate on a little boy, that just wanted a little brother to bond with. He can’t even talk properly, do you really think he understands what you all are angry about?
Or we could realize that the father—who I assume is certainly capable of talking properly, as he demonstrates on the video—agrees with him and says, “it’s okay, I felt the same way”.

And now we have to wonder, given that rhetoric, if the little boy is truly quite so selfless as all that, or if he’s already being socialized into a culture that sees females as being lesser than.
It’s amazing what children pick up from their parents, and with a father who casually drops a line like that infront of his pregnant wife and two young daughters, it’s a very legitimate concern that you’ve failed to address.
Uuuuuugh that’s terrible. Those two girls who probably love their brother and father have just learned that a girl baby is a disappointment/less good than a boy baby and the mom stood there and said NOTHING. This is not funny or cute. This is what is wrong with our culture.
