There’s a theory floating around that the reason Peridot fears a simple thunderstorm in “When It Rains” is because she’s mistaking it for the synthetic storm housed in The Geode, which might actually be the egg of The Cluster. Assuming That’s true, there’s something she doesn’t know:
The Homeworld doomsday weapon she so deeply fears has been delayed from hatching. With fucking duct tape.
IMAGINE HOW HARD SHE WOULD LOSE HER SHIT IF SHE LEARNED THAT THE INVINCIBLE CLUSTER WAS STOPPED FROM HATCHING FOR LIKE A YEAR BY AN ARCHAIC HUMAN ADHESIVE STRIP
That would actually be a fascinating revelation because she’s relied on technology for everything including making herself taller. To find such a primitive invention could stop the destruction of the world could open her eyes and make her rely less on tech. hell, it might even motivate her to allow a weapon.
Students: Hey, so at this point a lot of students would rather break their own legs than go to school because of the immense workload placed on us in the form of increased standardized testing and out of school work. It is remarkably frustrating and stressful to students, and causes a strain on our mental health
Parents: Hey, so our children are extremely overworked and we have noticed a huge increase in time spent on homework rather than things that kids should be doing like socializing and naturally forming interests that could lead them to possible career choices
Teachers: The state curriculum is becoming more demanding, requiring our students to learn more in less time, all while increasing the number and frequency of standardized tests (giving us even less time to teach important material). This makes us sad, because we want to share knowledge with students, but are forced to give them large amounts of homework to make up for lost time in the classroom.
The ALL educational systems: So what you're telling me is.... you want... more test??

I’ve seen some posts making this guilt trip of how the people who like to dress up as a sugar skull or the Catrina for halloween or whatever is racist and cultural appropriation.
Nah, it’s completely fine, as long as you are not totally ignorant about it or disrespectful.
Sugar skull represents the deceased, in a joyful manner. And the Catrina is just a social critic which became an icon later on for the day of the dead and Mexico.
It is not offensive to turn this into a costume or an accessory because it already is, so if you want to dress up like sugar skulls on Halloween, do so, but atleast know it’s value.
Be open minded, don’t even hate, and share this rich culture we have with the rest of humanity, chill.

I’ve always wanted a sugar skull tattoo but felt like I couldn’t get one because of this.
I actually never knew the history of sugar skulls. This was rather fascinating to read.
