People are always trying to somehow hurt my feelings by saying stupid shit like, “you’re ugly” or “you’re fat.”
And it’s like.
If you actually knew anything about me.
You’d know that the key to hurting my feelings is bringing up sad Doctor Who moments.

Back home and it was so amazing. not gonna post spoilers but I jizzed a bit.
First off, the picture above is what a base is if someone doesn’t know. Blogs use things like these. A. Lot. Bases are meant for things like reference, improvement, things like that. Not to just be taken and recolored to fit your OC or a canon character. Stop that.
I get pissed when I see blogs, very obviously only using bases and recoloring them. You can tell easily when it’s a base. It annoys me even more how blogs that only use bases get MORE attention than actual artist blogs. I am gonna call out a major blog in my mind for this. Skype-pony. Why? This artist has 1000 followers as of lately. For only using bases. No, but real artists like iMSPainter, Ask-Mixy, DisbannedKing, CosmicNovArts, Vertex-The-Pony, Goombells,((NSFW WARNING ON THOSE BLOGS)) and MANY MANY others really need the attention skype-pony gets, all the mod does of that blog is take a base that’s blue, and simply adds in hair and a headset (which isn’t that well done) and calls it hers. She/he doesn’t even credit the base artist. She doesn’t deserve 1000 for recolors.
So yet again, I’m dealing with simple recolors. I know bases may be free, and artists allow the use of them, but really? 1000? She/he doesn’t even attempt to drawn on her/his own. Its all direct posts with her OC’s hair and headset. Again, like last time, I don’t care if I get hate. Real artists deserve the attention she/he gets for being very very lazy without even an attempt to make her/his own stuff.
Like I said from the start, bases are really only meant for reference. Hell, I still use em from time to time if I wanna see how a way may be angled, but I do not trace it or just take the image cause I get lazy. Neither does any of the blogs I have listed up there. They are the ones needing the 1000 skype-pony has. Sure, the blog may be ‘cute’ but it needs talent before it hits that major milestone.
Common things people say about complaints like this:
“But Sand, she/he might not know how to draw” Neither did I when I started 2 years ago. It took me a LONG time to improve. But I did, and I couldn’t be prouder. “Hey Sand, don’t hate on her just cause shes popular, you’re probably just jealous” No. I’m mad, not jealous. She/he honestly doesn’t deserve to be popular just yet. Maybe if she/he actually drew, I would leave him/her alone. Until then, I can hate on what i want. Its wrong she/he is so popular. “You are just gonna pick out her/him when there are others who do the same thing?” Well first, she/he is very popular for being lazy. So she/he is the perfect candidate for this kind of confession.
Well that’s all the venting i could push outta my system. I don’t care how much hate I get from this, I honestly hope some people agree with me how this is ridiculous. Real art needs followers, not laziness. Follow blogs that have potential, not blogs who will do the same thing over and over and over again. Thanks for reading this if you do!
