I don’t have to look too far to find his fans threatening other users for giving their opinion, and then when that doesn’t work, they start acting like kicked puppies which is bitterly ironic. “Leave him alone” “Why is everyone trying to attack him?” “They’re just jealous!” Seriously, Jitterbug is probably doing a better job handling getting critiques than his fans, and I don’t even like the guy or his genre of work. 

And it’s not just this out burst here in confessions that is the first case Jitterbugs fans has threatened to harm, or implied threats to others with different opinions.  It scares me enough to believe that Jitterbugs fans will actually try harming other fans of the MLP community at the brony con.

Okay so I’ve been lurking around the Jitters blog for awhile, but the recent 500 dollar Twilight kickstarter has finally spurred me to try and explain to some of Jitters fans why some people hate the man, but before I begin let me just say this, I don’t hate Jitters, I don’t love Jitters, with that said allow me to begin.

Reason number 1: This is honestly what made me stop being a huge fan of Jitters in the first place, you young fans may not know this but when Jitters was first doing his Derpy voice the third set of lines got posted to Equestria Daily, where Jitters came under some major criticism, some said his Derpy sucked, others cried Overrated, where Jitters  comes in is how he responded to this, as he said in his response “I am not butthurt, just upset” problem with that being is that when you are upset enough to post a rant about hate, I can consider that to be butthurt, but the kicker came when Sephisto removed the post and replaced it with Jitters’s little rant while chastising those who spoke their mind.

Reason number 2: The point I’m making here is one I constantly hear from friends, whovians in fact, they claim that Jitters’s interpratation  of a Discorded doctor takes an interesting concept, but fails to truly capitalize on it, and honestly… I see their points, always say the art is good, but the story is the problem here, first off the Discorded Doctor kind of confuses me, he seems to switch from playing being DIscorded straight and then being really happy to see Jack, happy enough to jump around, this seems like something an undiscorded Doctor would do honestly.

The sad part about Discord Whooves however is how things seem to drop at a whim, remember the big thing about a murderer in the Discord Whooves verse? I do and I’m still really confused as to what happened to it, did the killer get caught is he still out there? if the killer wasn’t caught then what the hell is he doing?, but I digress. Some people do feel like the Discord Whooves blog is a reason to hate Jitters, childish? Yes, but I can see those people’s angle on the matter, when something with so much potential disappoints them people tend to blame the artist.

That being said let’s move on to my last point

Reason number 3: Now I can’t say I haven’t done this before, hell I do it often but Jitters’s condescending attitude towards haters can really turn some people off to him as a person.

I can relate this to many other people, for instance there’s this user on Youtube known as DSP, he is way different from Jitters in that he also bullies fans, however they both put on a rather condescending demeanor when retorting to haters, DSP has said they are mental, idiots even, while Jitters does things abit differently, say someone might forget his new gender and call him female, he will attack them for that small line of text even if it was a mistake, hell his fans may even attack that person.

All in all Jitters just doesn’t handle haters very well, and if you are reading this Jitters I need to tell you this…. Ignore haters, just do what you do, responding with bold text and all caps makes you seem like an asshole to people who don’t know you yet, people who might’ve become awesome friends to you, first impressions are everything Jitters, please just keep that in mind next time you see hate mail in your inbox, hell even a generic, “Thank you for your input” would do wonders in dealing with haters.

But to his joy, it did. He saw her. He had been enjoying the golden rays of the sun that warmed him to his roots when he caught a glance of her.She was beautiful. She was slender and graceful, swaying slightly in the warm afternoon breeze, her velvet red petals shining. He’d know those petals anywhere. It was That One Specific Rose In Her Back Garden, the love of his life. He had always had feelings for her. It had started off as a small bud of adoration but had soon sprouted into a freshly-grown flower of love. She was wonderful in every way, her leaves, stem, petals and even her thorns which she hated so much. He didn’t care about her thorns, her imperfections - she was beautiful to him no matter what. The other blades of grass had teased and mocked him, saying he only loved her because she was a Rose and that everyone always loved Roses, it was just typical. He had ignored them. He did not love her just because of her species, he loved her for who she was. How her voice whispered in the wind, how her laugh was like the sound of a new day of spring. It was these thoughts that made him remember a quote that he had heard once before, by a girl who would sit on this lawn various times and read.  ”A rose by any other name would smell just as sweet.” He would forever love her and there was nothing he could do to rid of this feeling, even if he wanted to. But, alas, he had just never had the courage to talk to her. Who, as fantastic and gorgeous as her, would talk to a boring blade of grass such as himself?

He shall continue to admire from afar, as he has every other day…

I saw a thing a recently about some kind of contest involving Harley Quinn committing suicide naked.

And people are saying this is terrible and “sexualizing” suicide.

So, I read the details to see what was up, and it says she’s naked in a tub with a bunch of electronic appliances hanging above her. They are also saying it’s sexist since she’s a female and they’re ‘making light’ of a serious problem.

I’m um, sorry, but where is the logic in this?

What, people get in bathtubs with clothes? Last I checked, people generally don’t wear clothes when they get in a bathtub, suicide or not. And it doesn’t matter which gender, males and females both get in tubs naked.

Ohh. What a concept.

Harley, by nature, is messed up in the head, abused, and suffering from a LOT of shit. She copes with it with a mask of humor.

It is very much in the possibility of her character to commit suicide, and try to find a ‘funny’ way to go about it, as a last effort to make a joke of her life.

Honestly, I feel people are looking way too much in to it. Isn’t it sort of wrong to automatically conclude that just because she’s naked and female means it’s sexualized?

Like women aren’t allowed to be naked at any point ever, including in a bath, because that’s just “way too sexy”?

What the fuck?

Isn’t THAT the problem, right there? LOOKING for sexualization and accusing things that aren’t really there is nearly as bad as people actually going out of their way to sexualize it.

Nowhere in the information did it say her tub suicide was supposed to look ‘sexy’. No one said her naked-ness had to be sexualized. She could be covered in bubbles, the water could be blocking any naughty bits, it’s all up to how the artist wants to portray it.

If she was shown in a bath tub with clothes on I’d honestly be confused as hell.

They aren’t trying to romanticize or sexualize suicide. They aren’t trying to laugh at it. They are trying to find something that works for HARLEY QUINN SPECIFICALLY. As a CHARACTER. As a victim of abuse, identity loss, and trauma. As someone who is insane and emotional and very very lost, constantly in conflict inside her head.

Just…

Ugh, just, people need to stop pointing fingers in the wrong direction…

So basically, they want it to be like arabia where women aren’t even allowed to show their ankles or wrists?
