my mother, whilst pregnant, was exposed to unvaccinated kids who had measles. She got the virus, but my brother (26 weeks of gestation) was affected by the virus.
he has a degenerative neurological disorder called neuronal migration. My brother has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and autism. He’s in a wheelchair. We communicate via sign language. he has fits. My brother, at 17, may catch a cold that’ll kill him. he’s nearly died twice because of pneumonia. He had a seizure last year, fell out of bed, and fractured his collarbone.
At the age of fourteen, I and my father had panic attacks when my brother had a seizure. His heart stopped. I, at fourteen, had to act the parent because my father was catatonic with grief because he thought he was losing his son.
vaccinate your fucking kids you selfish bastards.
you have no idea
NONE. AT ALL.
about the pain my parents suffer because my poor brother is so ill.
Since nobody’s buying any commissions, I’m selling what was left of the previous batch of adoptables. First come first serve. Selling each for $5 (usd)
Doctor Who. I miss being excited about Doctor Who.
I miss looking forward to streaming the show every week. I miss being excited for the Christmas special. I miss the cliffhangers and the recurring characters and the personalities of the individual doctors.
I just saw an ad for the new series in September and I literally thought “meh.”
I remember a time where you’d see nothing but the show on your dash, and all the posts had 10,000+ notes because literally everyone loved it and got excited about it.
I think the idea of fandom lost traction everywhere around the same time the show started doing plot circles, so people lost interest and it died a slow, agonizing death.
I didn’t ever think it would get here, but it has, and somewhere it makes me sad.
Moffat. Moffat is how we got here.
I think fans finally noped out of it with the 50th anniversary. Or they only stuck around to see the regeneration episode. LIke, smith to capaldi regeneration wasn’t absolutely “meh” and when you have no reaction with regeneration you know you failed as a writer. but yeah, the absolute shit retcon of the doctor destroying but not actually destroying gallifrey (Despite him never actually destroying in the first place he just put it in time lock which they almost escaped from which led to the death of 10 but hey who is counting continuity?) and the dumb rapid regeneration that was just “hey, rememebr these characters you don’t care about that I killed off but nor really? let them try to tug your heartstrings even though they’re cheap ripoffs of better companions”
Moffat is not good at writing things with 50+ years of lore behind it. He was good at single episodes but not entire arcs and that is where doctor who stopped being worth it.
I am Silver Tongue, I am an artist. I have many characters and you can check out my art in the art tag. I occasionally practice witchcraft though I don't do anything too complicated. I am girl 2 and don't know what else to put here.
