Stop the mindset that if a character has flaws, they’re weak. Characters need flaws so that they can overcome or deal with them. If they have no flaws, then there is no growth as a character and they are flat. Without flaws, there is no struggle and they are weak as characters.
please break the stigma that OCs are boring, toneless, weak, to be underestimated, mary/gary sue/stus, predictable, recycled material etc. please stop ridiculing them, casting them aside, ignoring them/their story and disrespecting them. please destroy the discrimination against OCs in general. an OC is an original character, and a canon is also an original character that has been popularized and given life through media and funding etc. please stop devaluing people’s creations simply because they aren’t in a book/TV show/movie. a lot of time, effort and care has been put into the characters you see in the roleplay community, stop writing them off without a second thought and maybe consider that these characters are just as great as the canon characters you adore.

She was going to go to Hogwarts, get top grades, and be the youngest female Minister of Magic by age 35.
It would have been a good plan, if she hadn’t been in the same year as Harry Potter.

Year one started out great. She was sorted into Hufflepuff, did well in all her classes, and aced the exams.
A troll smashed its way through the study room she was in on Halloween, but that wasn’t going to deter her.

Year two was a disaster. People were getting petrified, and worse—the teachers had to herd them from place to place, which severely cut down on her library time. She had to study in the common room, which meant instead of a nice, quiet atmosphere, she got a soundtrack of nervous Hufflepuffs.
And on top of that, exams were cancelled. It was a disaster.

Third year, she started to notice a trend.
First the troll, than the petrifications, and now dementor guards and escaped convicts. What did they all have in common? Potter.
After Black broke in and everyone had to spend the night in the Great Hall, interrupting Jenna’s last minute studying for a test the next day, she took to giving Potter angry looks in every class.
He did not notice.

They announced the Triwizard tournament at dinner the first night of fourth year, and Jenna almost started crying.
Potter was going to take this one over. She just knew it.
And she was right.
Voldemort rose at the end of the year. She honestly didn’t know what she had expected.

Fifth year brought Umbridge. She joined the DA because she was going to need a better background in defense, but that didn’t mean she was any happier about Potter.
She imagined it was him she was hexing instead of Zachariah Smith.
But, by the end of the year, focus on her studies was impossible. After Dumbledore left, it was complete anarchy.
Potter’s fault. Of course.

Sixth year she started volunteering in the hospital wing. She needed a backup plan in case Potter fucked it up.
All seemed quiet, until they brought Malfoy in. It was apparently Potter’s fault, which surprised everyone except Jenna.
Later, she was peacefully studying in a little nook on the third floor when some Death Eaters and some other adults started dueling right under her nose.
This was the worst fucking school, honestly.

Jenna ran through the hall, dodging in and out of the children evacuating, until she saw him.
“POTTER.”
He turned, startled. “Um—Jenna, right? We’re sort of busy—”
She grabbed the front of his shirt and hauled him up until he was eye level with her. “If I’m not Minister of Magic by age 35, it is going to be entirely your fault and I’m going to hurt you.”
She dropped him and stormed away, leaving him to whatever he was doing. She had to fight this goddamn war so she could go back to her fucking studying.

Reading all your posts about flibanserin/Addyi I started to wonder what you and other aces thought about viagra, which aside from the nasty side-effects, is the same drug but for men.

That claim is completely erroneous and based on dishonest and downright atrocious marketing.
Flibanserin increases sexual desire/libido by altering the levels of neurochemicals (namely serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine). Viagra does NOT do this. Viagra deals with the physiology not responding to existing libido/sexual desire. The female equivalent of Viagra is lubricant, not Flibanserin.
Viagra doesn’t make the attempt to “normalize” sexual desire and/or dictate how often one should have “sexually satisfying experiences”. It’s a take-as-needed pill that one uses to get their body parts to cooperate with the libido they already possess. Flibanserin/Addyi’s marketing is claiming that those who do not reach a certain level of sexual desire are not “normal” and that they need a pill to correct that. This is the problem in relation to asexuality.
Viagra dialates the veins in the penis to create an erection. Flibanserin is NOT like viagra. flibanserin is the kind of thing people would put slip into peoples drinks to make them more willing to have sex. it’s something that will probably lead to more rape.
It’s ok. I kept watching it. It’s not Bad, but not as good as the hype suggests. Mostly suffers from pacing issues IMHO.
It’s not bad it’s just a generic anime with nothing new to bring. I mean, the animation is pretty good but nothing that actually matters is present. The characters are cliche.
For me, it was more fatigue with the fans that acted as if were the be all and end all. The show itself I haven’t seen, since I was turned off by the tumblr hype. Most fans are cool. And a lot of the cosplay I’ve seen is effing awesome.
That’s also a big part of it. There ARE better animes like one piece and FMAB which have better written characters, a simple motivation and a quieter fandom.
