Not gonna lie, I am not a fan of people making characters out to be trans. Like, when people say dipper or lars is trans, it feels more like they want them to be special snowflakes. Part of it is because they don’t face any of the troubles that trans people actually face and part of it is because more often than not, the people who come up with these theories are not trans and are only writing these from an outside view.
Dipper isn’t trans. Lars isn’t trans. Danny Fenton isn’t trans. It kinda hurts when people insist that they are without knowing what it’s actually like to be trans.

It’s so sad to me that characters can’t just be characters that break stereotypes anymore.
Oh Danny Fenton wears a shirt to the pool and doesn’t wanna be touched in the chest so he must be binding and trans. Not just ya know…himself.
Oh Haruhi from Ouran Host Club can pass as a guy and flirt with girls and isn’t girly. So she must be trans. Oh Tamaki from the same thing is flamboyant. He must be trans too. Yep. They can’t just be themselves.
Look, I have no problem with homosexual or transgender subtext. Really I don’t. What I do have a problem with is people acting like their headcanon is fact when it’s not. Because we don’t know what the creative intent was until it’s revealed by the creators.
So can we all just let characters be characters and stop trying to make them special snowflakes?

And in most cases, it’s more of a self esteem issue rather than trans. Dipper is a nerd and being a nerd, it’s much more likely he was bullied for the most trivial things like his appearance or the fact that he’s weak. He also like icelandic pop singers from the 80s. His self esteem is was shattered before the show started and is’s very visible in the show. Like how he always tried to be better than mabel at things. He isnt’ trans, he’s just a nerd with self esteem issues.
Danny is bullied for being weak and the fact that his parents are ghost hunters which people considered a joke profession until the ghostly activities happened in his town. He too has had his self esteem broken before and during the show and his parents cause anxiety problems considering they will kill him if they knew what he was. While the “hide who you are from everyone” is a reference to the LGBTA+ community, it does NOT mean he’s trans.
Lars’s self esteem problems are the worst though to the point where he fakes who he is every minute and tries to please those he considers worth it even the most ridiculous request. He will put down others to make himself feel better and try to be accepted for something he’s not. He isn’t trans, he’s just has self esteem issues.
TL:DR the characters do those things because of self esteem problems. They aren’t trans.

It’s mostly the poor sex education to blame. sex education teaches only the lack of sex as a form of birth control as opposed to legitimate forms of preventing pregnancy.
A little girl in my 4th grade class came up to me after recess and said, “I got married at recess!” and I said “Oh? I didn’t know anyone was ordained under the age of twelve.” and she asked me what ordained meant and I explained and then she said “Oh, well, no, my wife and I were married by the slide, but we’ll be happy together anyway.”
So apparently on school playgrounds, slides are already legalizing same-sex marriage.
