All Stan ever wanted was to go sailing with his brother

but Stanford chose mysteries over him until it was too late…

Stan probably felt the same sadness when Dipper and Mabel chose to chase the gobblewonker than spend time with him. He was being replaced by mysteries again.

but in the end Dipper and Mabel realised what was important. Spending time with their Grunkle and although it may not have been with his brother, Stan had his dream come true, he got to spend time with his family, with the people he loved.

look how happy he looks.

in teh end, the mystery twins finally got to ride in the stan o’ war

I want a movie about a guy who runs for president and wins but then suddenly realizes that he doesn’t want to be president, so he just starts doing ridiculous things all the time trying to get impeached, but it NEVER WORKS because they always miraculously end up being the right thing to do. Like, he declares war on Canada? Next day it turns out that Canada had secret plans to nuke Washington. he bans Doritos? Turns out theyr’e the number one cause of cancer and natural disasters. He sends his vice president to jail? Turns out the VP was a terrorist in disguise. He has 100% approval rating, most popular president ever.

I’ve decided that I want him to be played by Jeff Goldblum.

i’m frankly astonished this wasn’t a real movie in the early 90s.

i think jeff goldbloom would be great at filibustering considering how many times he’s like “uuh uh uh uh uhhh”

on pearl’s defectiveness

pansexual-jazzhands:

captoring:

i’m pretty sure pearl’s defectiveness is the fact she is able to feel any emotions at all. i believe pearls are designed to be cold and calculating, elegant and effective workers. and somehow this pearl came out feeling things - or even learned how to feel things when in contact with rose, who is sweet and cries and cares about everything.

that would explain why she doesn’t have the best interpersonal relationships (to say the least): perhaps empathy doesn’t come naturally to her and she doesn’t fully understand how emotions work.

this would also explain how jasper even knew about her defectiveness: unless it was a drastic physical change that could be noticed at first glance (and then what could it be? it would be something that is considered a flaw, and she looks fine) then it has to be something in her personality. and that also isn’t something that can be noticed on sight, BUT! if pearls were meant to be essentially robots, and this one left her stations to fight for the rebellion because she fell in love, then news of that would certainly get around.

maybe the way holo pearls act isn’t even just because it’s a training hologram- but because that is how regular pearls are.

Perfect pearls are perfectly round but her gem is more oval. That could be a reference to her defectiveness

Hello tumblr! Today we’re going to test something… FEDORAS! Let’s see if they turn me into a misogynist neckbeard MRA who lives in his mother’s basement! SCIENCE!

image

Shh! What’s that sound?

image

Ahhh! A Fedora! It’s going to sit on my head!

image

…uhhh. Maybe this one’s not flashy enough.

image

Well, I picked this one up at Claire’s a few years ago. That’s a girl’s accessories retailer, but maybe it still counts.

image

…hmmm. Still nothing. It must have too much femininity to make me a misogynist neck beard!

image

PERFECT! I even got this one from a friend who actually DOES have a neck beard! This has to work!

image

Well, I look pretty good in it… but still nothing.

image

Wait! I KNOW!

image

Wearing my Brony shirt plus the hat HAS to work!

image

…hmmmmmmm… looks like I still don’t have a neckbeard, I don’t live in my mom’s basement, I’m still not a misogynist, and I’m still an egalitarian.

image

Well everybody, I guess fedoras don’t turn you into all of those things. But I have realized an amazing concept. Maybe assholes are just assholes regardless of what they wear!

Let’s put it this way: if you wouldn’t call a woman a slut based on her clothes, why label somebody for wearing a fedora or Brony shirt?

Mind you, there are plenty of people out there who wear fedoras or are Bronies and are jerks. However, there are plenty of people (like me, my fiance, at least four of my friends, and even my neck bearded friend) who wear fedoras and are nice. The first thing I noticed about my fiance back in high school was he had this really cool design on the band of his fedora; he actually helped me get out of an abusive relationship and we’ve been inseparable ever since. My neck-beard friend always gives his whole heart to the women he knows regardless of his relationship to them because he respects them. My guy friends who wear fedoras are nicer than many of the women I’ve known or met in my life.

The bottom line is, nobody should be judged based on their outfit choice, but instead should be judged on their actions, personality, and attitude. Stereotypes are dumb, and tumblr should be the first place to understand that!

tl,dr:When you meet someone who’s a total jerk and wearing a fedora, don’t blame the fedora, blame the jerk! Stereotypes and labels are stupid. Don’t be a hypocrite about it either! How hard is that?

image

YES THANK YOU. FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT.

Think of it this way: Chris-Chan dresses like the biggest goddamn retard on the planet, but that’s not the reason he’s retarded.

no, his actions are what make him the biggest goddamn retard on the planet, the outfits are just icing on the cake!

According to Steam, I started playing Team Fortress 2 on the 7th of December, 2011. It was a wednesday.

Since then, I’ve put 1034 hours into the game.

So that’s a thing.

So you’ve only played for about 43 days in the 3.5 years you’ve owned it?

Other peoples’ culture is not your fashion. So before you put it on, do your research and ask yourself a few important questions to know if you’re disrespecting other.

you guys. you guys. i love this so much. but oprah was literally in india when she wore that. the organizers gifted it to her. know the difference between cultural appropriation and cultural sharing.

Correct

Distinction!

Indian clothing (not native americans) has been worn by foreigners during interracial marriages

image

They don’t consider that bad in India at all. So I don’t know why that’s up there. Believe it or not, they like seeing other cultures enjoy their culture.

Asian umbrellas and chopstick hairstyles also are not racist or bad. The same for the fucking  conical hat (that’s worn to protect against the sun you idiots). It’s like saying Japanese people can’t wear cowboy hats.

And before people start talking about Kimonos.

As for the ‘islamic’ attire; . did you know that those predate islam? People wore it for a lot of reasons in a lot of different cultures. So no one culture owns this type of clothing style (veils, face covers, etc). In fact, technically, Muslims culturally appropriated this style of clothing from  Byzantine Christians so I mean, really… stop talking about this. And you can’t culturally appropriate a religion, either (Indian/Islam).

Pretty much the only ‘cultural appropriation’ going on in this post is wearing native american war bonnets.
