i think the coolest thing would be to see a new color

right so theres this thing called the bullet shrimp

imageand not only are these things totally badass and stylish

they have 16 colour cones in their vision

us humans only have 3

these things can literally see over 5 times as many colours as we can

literally they can look at what we would see as a completely black space and see thousands of colours we don’t even know exist

do you understand how fuCKING COOL THAT IS

not only that but they can punch a hole in an aquarium tank.

that’s pretty fucking radical.

not only punching through aquarium walls too

these little demon-spawn can punch so hard and so fast that

IT BREAKS WATER PHYSICS

their punches cause water to boil and create a bubble underwater, which kills its prey if it has contact with it, cooking them from the outside

BUT IT DOESN’T EVEN NEED TO MAKE CONTACT

the collapsing bubble sends out a shockwave strong enough to kill anything in a 10 cm diameter due to pure pressure

this fabulous sob is death incarnate and don’t forget that

Even better - the inside of that little bubble before it collapses is over 400 million degrees Kelvin, hotter than the surface of the Sun.

What?! That is soooo cool!!!

So that shrimp is a pokemon. Yes, I would like one bullet shrimp.

everybody talks about the possibility of alien races being huge leaps ahead of us in terms of technology but what if they were just slightly ahead of us in the most infuriating way

What if they just had GPSs with correct pronunciation

When I was younger, I wish someone had told me straight-up that not all adults experience “a calling”. That many of them never find particular purpose in a career. That sometimes, their job is just what pays the bills and they have to seek satisfaction and fulfillment elsewhere.

Because as an adult, this pervasive notion that there exists a perfect path for everyone, that people should love what they do, and that work is meant to function as a vehicle for fulfilling a person’s grand life destiny is not only inaccurate for many of us, it can be toxic.

The ideal is so ingrained that I have to remind myself constantly I’m not a failure because I don’t adore my job, and because I’m not rocking the world with my work. That is okay

Sometimes, work is just work. There isn’t always a perfect career path, magically waiting to be discovered. There might not be this THING you were born to do. Sometimes, you discover that what you really want to be when you grow up is “paid”.

Harsh reality

The job field I’m going into is to pay the bills because I know for a fact that what I want to do, draw, will have to be strictly a hobby due to the shitty economy

If you had to suggest a Tattoo for me based on what you know of me from my blog, what would it be?

With all the fallout 4 on my dash and my dad texting me in capslock about how hyped he is about it, I only just realize how little i care for the fallout series. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s still a great series and i’m still gonna buy it, but based on my experience on older fallout games (and elder scrolls for that matter) I know exactly what’s gonna happen. I’m gonna play it for a week before growing bored and not touching it for months. I have nothing against it, I’m just not hyped because I’m not gonna play it much.

There’s nothing better than having the professor end class early because she’s tired
