so if the new inside out trailer shows the (female) mom’s emotions like this:

and the (male) dad’s emotions like this:

then im kind of wondering what conclusion we’re supposed to draw from this:

image

gender fluid non-binary child who must be protected

Time to read too much into things because that’s always fun!

I noticed the gender variance when I saw the trailer, but now that I’m looking at the stills I also wonder if they’re going to address the significance of who seems to be the “leader” in these three different teams. In the child’s, it seems to be Joy. Is this just because she’s the dominant personality? Is it because most of the girl’s memories are under Joy’s care? We don’t know yet.

In the adults, the emotions are more unified and their personalities come across as very similar. However it still stands that the Dad’s lead emotion is anger, and the mom’s is sadness. Even if they don’t address this in the film (which I hope they do because I’m curious), I think they’ve already told us something extra about how her parents function. Just from the trailer we see that the dad’s first instinct is to scold the daughter, while the mom is the first to notice the first signs that something is wrong - possibly because she dealt/deals with depression before. We don’t have much to work with yet but I know I’m going to be watching for signs of aggression and depression from the parents just to see if they’re running with this.

Not gonna lie, I think an abusive parent and the other parent just sitting there and letting it happen would make the movie seem more real. Because that happens very often in society and this could bring awareness to that fact.

Pretty sure it’s the tentacle from that one game with the meteor and the crazy scientist and the tentacle is depressed and likes punk rock and the household was already weird but the meteor made them evil for some reason

just let everyone know Chris Pratt is in it and the whole world will run to the nearest theatre.

Seriously.

We all love that man more than life itself.

This could be the poster and I would still go:

I want that as a poster

Honestly, I wanted to see it more because Chris Pratt is in it than because it is Jurassic Park and I watched the whole trilogy growing up.

Chris pratt is amazing in everything he is in.

If you were a dragon, what would you hoard?

The Press Is Ignoring Bernie Sanders

On May 26, Sen. Bernie Sanders hosted his first major campaign rally since announcing his presidential candidacy last month. Staged on the banks of Lake Champlain in his hometown of Burlington, Vermont, the Sanders rally reportedly drew more than five thousand people, making it one of the largest campaign events of 2015, hosted by either a Democrat or a Republican.

But the sprawling rally didn’t cause much of a media stir. Rather than cover it as a major news event, the Washington Post ignored the rally in its print edition the next day, as did the New York Times, according to a search of the Nexis database. The network news programs that night covered the event in just a few sentences.

At a time when it seems any movement on the Republican side of the candidate field produces instant and extensive press coverage, more and more observers are suggesting there’s something out of whack with Sanders’ press treatment.

And they’re right.

Pay attention to this man. He’s the only candidate that’s actually anti-corporate greed who could win this election.

When the media activity snubs a politician it’s usually a good sign. Bernie sanders is the best hope we have right now. There is a reason why mainstream media doesn’t want you to know about him.

It’s because he’s not on their payroll, he doesn’t speak for big business. He is for the people
