The public’s version of couples showering together is so misleading.

Here’s a list of things i’ve ACTUALLY done in the shower with my boyfriend :

• sang and harmonized parts to centuries by fall out boy
• reenacted a scene from the grudge and pretended that my hair was suffocating him
• dropped baby oil in the shower and both of us ate shit on the shower floor
• had a full on debate on whether or not Harry Potter truly belonged gryffindor or slytherin house
• accidentally squirted him with soap in his eyes and attempted to make it feel better by spraying him full blast in the face with the shower head

What we haven’t done in the shower:
• sex

The only reason why I’m mad that this has notes is my boyfriend found out about this and we started arguing about the Harry Potter thing again.

They addressed this in the second book. While harry does contain a potion of the soul of the heir to slytherin, his actions are what put him in gryffindor. if he wasn’t a true gryffindor, he couldn’t pull the sword out of the hat.
The thing here is that the sorting hat can see or sense the future because he put nevil in griffindor when nevil didn’t show any sign of belonging until year five.

- the nuclear family as an economic unit has really only existed for a few hundred years, across part but not all of the world

- the nuclear family unit is the easiest to exploit under capitalism, because parents have to work externally to provide for their children. They work to pay for child care for their children while they work. They work to earn money to feed their kids and to give them nice things to make up for all the time they spend away, at work.

- a huge amount of labour is necessary every day to keep a family fed, their house clean, etc. some families are wealthy enough to outsource this by hiring staff, most are not.

- capitalism is a pointless middleman in this. we should just live cooperatively.

- share houses and intentional communities are awesome

- people of different life stages function well together because they have complimentary needs and abilities

- kids are less of a stress and burden in a home with lots of different adults to provide support and love, as well as sharing household tasks.

- destroy capitalism through cooperativism.

seriously tho can you imagine a a great situation like that, a bunch of friends living together, and one of them maybe wants to adopt and they all agree to work together to raise the child and this kid gets like four different parents who are all really supportive in different ways and jUST. so much great potential
