The Outbursts of Everett True was a comic strip that ran in papers from 1905 to 1927, wherein the aforementioned Everett True regularly beat the everliving shit out of rude people as a warning to anyone else who might consider being rude. Men have not only been taking up too much room on public transport for about as long as public transport has existed, but the people around them have been irritated about it for at least a hundred years. The next time someone tries to claim that manspreading is a false phenomenon, please direct them to this strip so that Everett True can correct their misconceptions with an umbrella upside the head.
I have never before heard of Everett True, but if he “regularly beat the everliving shit out of rude people as a warning to anyone else who might consider being rude,” I have a strong spiritual connection with him.
I fucking love him
i can imagine this guy’s voice very clearly in my head but i couldn’t put a name to it
He also jabs racists in the eye!
I love the justice grandpa of fists
I can hear his voice too, and all I can convey it as is “Generic tough guy from Looney Tunes”
“Come all the way through and be sociable” slew me.
i dont know how im supposed to interpret the fact that when pandora opened the box all of the monsters were released unto humanity except for hope, which stayed behind, but every time i think about it i go crazy
is it saying that the biggest monster would be if hope had left us? is it saying that hope was never unleashed on the world? is it saying that hope is actually a monster? is it saying that hope will always be with us? i dont know but all of them make me lose it
Finished fmab anyway cannot stop thinking abt the scene where Al sacrificed his life just so ed could get his arm back and fight. Like when Truth asked him “are you sure he’ll come back for you?” Al didnt even HESITATE to say “yes, absolutely.” With all the confidence in the world.
Then you parallel that scene with ed going to get al back and truth asks him if hes sure he wanted to give up his alchemy and lose all that power, again, no hesitation. Ed doesnt flinch, doesnt waver, doesn’t have flashbacks back to all the stuff he did bc of alchemy. He gave it all up without remorse or grief bc in the end none of that mattered. None of it mattered bc he had his friends. Bc he had Al. And that was all he needed.
And when they’re leaving together, al is just smiling at ed bc he knew all along that his brother would do the right thing.
