Also there IS a major difference between this and trash. This is written better with strong characters who grow with each episode.
oh and the ones with aliens both involve aliens helping and protecting humans and earth and involve a serious war that wiped out most of there kind

And when the aliens get seriously injured, they regenerate, looking a bit different afterwards.
