Things I noticed about last nights episodes and new head cannons
Peridot is a booger
Greg might have actually been there at the first war, seeing how uncomfortable and fast to dismiss he was about his comment on how long ago the first war was
Rose could have healed Greg over all that time
Pearl is deemed a “lost, defective pearl” meaning there could be more pearls
Good fusion combos = normal looking ex: Garnet, Steven
Unstable fusion combos = a little freaky ex: Sugilite, Opal
Bad fusion combos = What the fuck is that its horrifying ex: Malachite
Jasper has a superior named Yellow Diamond
On the floor of the ship you see three diamonds, yellow, white, blue
Both jasper and Peridot have yellow diamonds or triangles meaning they work for Yellow Diamond
A fusion of all diamonds would be fucking amazing
Jasper, the Centipeedle, and Amethyst all have bushy, white-ish hair and are wild. Amethsys and Jasper both have spin attacks.
Peridot mentions checking on the cluster meaning the banding sound we heard at the end of On The Run could have been a new gem already “hatched”
This also means now that she’s on earth she could remotely activate said cluster if she has the power
Ruby is either blind, or lacks future vision due to her having to find Sapphire by her song, and her “I can’t see!” comment
If Ruby lacks future site this means Garnet gets both her future site and her bullet speed from Sapphire.
This would be supported by their gem shapes, as triangles are seen to be more powerful than squares
When Garnet refuses she has a new outfit and is a lot more expressive
Opal also has a new outfit, confirming my theory gems change outfits when de-fused and when their physical bodies are harmed
Home world gems might not know about gems created by their parent gem (ex: not from kindergardens) or about gem cross-breeding
Long term fusion,possibly fusion at all, is seen as something revolting
I think this is because it is a somewhat sexual and very personal thing to do with another gem
This makes Jasper trying to force Lapis “Just say yes” to fuse with them all the more rape-like
Peridot is able to bubble herself, so bubbling isn’t just a crystal gem power, though Peridots bubble is green and acts more like water, while the Gems bubbles are like pixels
Garnets “you’re just mad cuz you single” comment might mean Ruby and Sapphire are dating, which could imply long-term fusion could be a form of pseudo-marriage
Garnets song solidifies her stance on fusions not being two people/one person but an experience
Garnet is now more purple, possibly showing Ruby and Sapphire were brought even closer by this experience
“we’ll just come back newer”, a line from Garnets song, makes this change all the better
It looked like Peridot landed in Canada my wife is only a bridge away from me, come get me my beautiful booger
While Jasper seems to be very able to manipulate and dominate Lapis, Lapis is the dominate gem in the fusion, meaning she’s in some ways stronger than them
Ruby and Sapphire show that Gems do not need to be symmetrical, and can be anywhere on the body
Garnet was mentioned to have at least one more song in the future
I believe, since it was mentioned a LOT in the last episode, Malachite is in or around Ocean City
Since Malachite is underwater even if they defused Lapis could still have an upper hand
The message ended in ominous static instead of the normal song
Jail Breaks title card was in space instead of the statues hand
Jasper might just be a middle ranked gem, or a body guard. Peridot mentioned needing an escort and Jasper reports to a gem named Yellow Diamond
Jasper called Amethyst an over-cooked runt, most likely since she was a kinder gem made wrong
If Amethyst is “good” because she was incubated too long, the cluster could be more friendly gems
If Greg really was there for the war, we have no idea how long gem pregnancies could last. It could be the human months, possibly years, hundreds of years, who knows
Yellow Diamond might be the gem shown fighting Rose on the mural
Peridot confirmed for hand fetishist
Ruby and Sapphire might have been crystal gems before first perma-fusing into Garnet, since the door represents them as two separate points.
This could also mean they have separate rooms
Garnet being a love fusion plays into her hate for arguing
steven universe has a massive amount of queer subtext, potential polyamory everywhere, loads of canon nonbinary characters, and even sort of representation for people who are plural or part of a system.

This is really cute when you realize that ruby is holding sapphires gem on garnet with her gem and sapphire is holding rubys gem on garnet with her gem.
Remember when Amethyst said Pearl was “Shut down by the G-Squad!“? Well, a squad is a group of people, not just one. Subtle foreshadowing, or a mere coincidence?
