The city of WestHollywood in Los Angeles just took some big steps to help people feel safer when using public bathrooms. A lot of public bathrooms are labeled women’s bathroom or men’s bathroom.

For many gender non-conforming, genderqueer, or transgender people using a bathroom can be really stressful. While many communities have already started doing this, cities like Philadelphia and Washington DC are following their lead.

This law helps people make the best decision for themselves about which restroom to use and encourages other people not to judge, police, or mistreat fellow bathroom goers. The law also supports parents with children of another gender.

Everyone has the right to use public restrooms without discrimination or fear!

Something that’s super important for you to know:

Artists have lives outside of the website they post their art on.

Don’t get pissy and upset and complain to the artist that you commissioned that you haven’t recieved your art.

it’s understandable that you want it done in a reasonable time, but if they have contacted you and told you it may take a little longer than usual, don’t get upset.

I remember somewhere someone was complaining about how long a FREE REQUEST was taking and then had the gall to bitch the artist out when the artist got fed up and just said something like “I’m not doing the thing you want me to do anymore because of your attitude”

You can’t just go changing the script like that.

friendly reminder that this is a sympton of Anxiety

If you have anxiety/issues communicating under stress and have to do this (i.e. no one to do the ordering for you.) Here is something you can do which helps alleviate the stress on remembering your order/ dealing with ‘scripts.’

1) take a notepad and pen with you (you can get little pocket sized sets for handbags etc.)

2) write down what you want *before* you join the queue.

3) Get to the front: if you can order verbally using the list as a prompt, fine. If not: hand them the paper.

P.S. Have a second choice written down (in case they’re out of what you want.)

E.g. 1x Double Cheeseburger OR 9x nuggets. 1x small fries. 1x medium coke OR medium sprite.

They won’t ask why if your voice gives up on you (they don’t know you don’t have laryngitis or some shit.) They won’t wonder about the list (they don’t know you’re not there ordering for someone else.)

This also works for sit-down meals.

Lots of love,

Someone who fucking hates ordering food with the burning passion of thousand suns going supernova xxx

Thank you so much, you have no idea how hard it is to order sometimes, I will most definitely try this next time.

Reblogging for y’all who could really use this xoxo

I saw a news report about this on T.V., she was a straight A Student who had perfect attendance and everything. Everyone loved and respected her for her skills, but when she started this experiment and people thought she was pregnant, they started treating her like garbage. Even her teachers started looking down on her like she was scum of the earth. The only people who knew she was doing this as an experiment were her school principal, her health care teacher, her boyfriend, and her mother. Her own siblings thought she was pregnant!

I mean even her friends turned on her, it was horrid. Very very sad, and as soon as she revealed during an assembly that the pregnancy was false, a lot of people were in shock as she brought up all the horrible things they said and did to her because they thought she was pregnant.

The reason for the experiment was to see how people would react and treat her if they thought she was pregnant, as opposed as to treating her as the straight A “Perfect” student they usually did. And it proved that people were horrible scumbags to her as soon as they thought she was.

holy shit. this is fucking awesome

I read this chick’s book! It was so cool.

Her book is The Pregnancy Project by Gaby Rodriguez

Pretty sure I reblogged something about this in the past, but now someone’s posted a book title and I want to read this book

I own her book! It was really interesting because her own siblings wouldn’t talk to her and so many people treated her horribly. But there were still a handful of her friends who supported her, and were excited about her future baby. The part that was most prominent to me is that after she revealed that she wasn’t actually pregnant, some kid started saying that she was a “bitch” and that he “never belived she was pregnant”. But anyways, if this is something that interests you, you should totally read it!
