The library was destroyed over 1000’s of years ago. The library consisted of thousands of scrolls and books about mathematics, engineering, physiology, geography, blueprints, medicine, plays, & important scriptures. Thinkers from all over the Mediterranean used to come to Alexandria to study.Most of the major work of civilization up until that point was lost. If the library still survived till this day, society may have been more advanced and we would sure know more about the ancient world.

aaaaand here’s the perfect reason why I didn’t vote at all this week.
There’s just no real difference between Republicans and Democrats. For regular citizens who identify with either party? Sure, but for Congressmen? No. There is none.
Both parties will talk about major differences, sure, but once they’re elected they have exactly 0 incentive to actually work on and accomplish things. They’re getting paid either way. Congress had a 5% approval rating and we STILL let them get away with this. They know we’ve just accepted them as a mess, it won’t ever change.
I’m not mad that the Republicans now have the most seats in the House and Senate, because even with a Democratic majority Senate, nothing got done. It’s not like the Republican majority is a huge one anyways, it’s literally only a few more of them. So it will still be a dysfunctional mess and always will be.

Too bad it’s illegal to speak out against the government in a country that founded itself by revolting against an oppressive government… Despite the fact that the taxes that lead to the revolution were completely warranted due to the fact that they helped us out of a war against frances colonies(now canada)
