Are trigger words even really a thing
I mean, I understand the concept
But then you have people going “oh this video contains sheep so watch out in case its your trigger word”
So I have to conclude that either it gets horribly overplayed or it’s some big joke that I’m not a part of
Triggers actually only apply to people with PTSD such as people who fought through wars. The trigger is something that causes anxiety, panic attacks and even traumatic flashbacks, like a sudden loud noise might put a veteran into vietnam flashbacks. However, most people abuse the word trigger and use it to mean things that they do not like because they are insensitive fucks. A trigger is only a trigger if it sends someone into panic attacks so if someone claims that sheep are their trigger, they probably don’t think the word means what it really means.
Long story short, People misuse the term “trigger” way too much.
