My favorite type of characters are “they’re not dumb but they are a dumbass”

Characters with enough intellect and common sense to clearly and easily grasp that something is a Bad Idea, but with enough chaotic dumbass energy to decide they gotta just go ahead with it anyway are on point.

Spencer is the perfect example. He dropped out of law school, yeah, but he still got the fuck in.

And he retained enough to win a case against corporate lawyers after only being in law school for 3 days.

He also bought an ostrich on the request of a magic 8 ball.

i love both series but i also love that 2003 fma had more of 12 y/o edward running around catching criminals…ending military corruption lol i would gladly see another whole show just about smartass boy genius ed elric

#whats interesting about the two series is you kind of get a #monster of the week adaptation and a straight plot adaptation #thats not to say 03 can be watched out of order—it cant. order definitely matters #but the overarching plot allows for a slower less direct approach #our heroes are on a quest to find information and that takes time #so it allows for them to meet more people and go more places and have these mini adventures within the big adventure #whereas bh plays out like a movie—point a to point b as quickly as possible #and its good. its really enjoyable to watch like a good marvel movie #but wow fma works SO WELL as a more traditional monster of the week-esque show #usually i prefer the more plot-direct approach but not here #i loved every single one of ed and al’s side adventures busting criminals with their alchemy and child genius #their characters are so great and so are the temporary characters they meet for an episode or two #who reveal more about the world or about alchemy-all the different ways alchemy can be used #and mustang and his team that reside at hq and sometimes drop in to help out #theres so much potential for more of these adventures because of ed’s years in the military #like i would gladly take a series just about his time in the military from 12-14 #all the mysteries he solved and criminals he busted

Ness’s FSmash has a few active frames where it can reflect projectiles

reflected projectiles have increased damage and speed

so link shot the fully charged arrow,  ness reflected it with FSmash, doc reflected it with cape, which reflected back on ness’s still active FSmash frames, reflected on doc’s cape AGAIN and then ONE MORE TIME on Ness’ Fmash, leading to 140% death arrow with a hitbox so stretched that it hit both of them
