Technically mimikyu isn’t an electric rodent, being a ghost/fairy type who hides their true form, but mimikyu did choose a disguise that makes them appear like this evolutionary line; pikachu in particular. I’d say it’s like the coral snake and king snake evolutionary mimiking (black on yellow kill a fellow, red on black poison lack) but it’s more like if a raccoon saw a dog getting belly rubs and walked up to the petter wearing hand-made floppy dog ears and a sign that says “hello I’m lovable too”
