TWO. Louisiana also ordered hundreds of polling places to close early ON ELECTION DAY.

Look, if Hollywood is gonna make movies set during quarantine over the next few years, I demand they make a movie about the fact the Cannonball Run record, the speed record for driving from New York to California, was broken three times during quarantine. to any people who say “we’re not going to help florida or texas with their hurricanes” even as a joke: i just want y’all to consider how marginalized communities are disproportionately hit by hurricanes in terms of damage. some of y’all justified some parts of louisiana getting completely destroyed by these hurricanes just with the fact that we went red and not even considering the sheer amount of voter suppression in this state. y’all saying this shit is really fucking scary and really shows that y’all really never cared about the people suffering from the corruption in the South’s governments.

not to mention a major reason why texas and florida are red is due to voter suppression. Theres more than enough people here who had their right to vote stripped away from then that if they could, the states would be blue. Not to mention how few polling offices were open and how strict the mail in ballot requirements were. Texas and florida arent red due to ignorance or anything. its a deliberate act of voter suppression that keeps it red
