So I know I said the very first incarnation of Link, Zelda, Impa, and Ganon were gonna be next but like… I was reading about the Kokiri and it sparked some inspiration, so much so that I ended up redesigning them for my headcanon. I wanted them to be a little more unique in appearance than what they were so I went with making them pseudo fauns: Fauns are known for their playful and childish nature and, given the Kokiri are ageless children, I figured it’d work. So! Some quick headcanons about their race as a whole!
-Kokiri are a race of faun-like fairies who live in and protect forests. A majority of their body is made of a bark-like hide that can come in a large variety of texture and color, and the antlers they grow sprout flora of all kinds depending on their individual make. Though they appear child-like (with the oldest look being that of a young teen), they are ageless and many have lived several centuries, though Kokiri are still mortal despite their ageless quirk. Every Kokiri are linked to the Great Deku Tree.
-Legend has it that, if a child gets lost and dies in a forest, the Great Deku Tree will take the child’s lingering spirit and give them a new body through the means of merging their corpse with the bark from its roots. Their spirit will then be anchored back onto the newly formed body, effectively bringing them back to life and given a second chance.
This legend is true. Kokiri are childlike because they are children, or at least they were when they met their tragic demise hidden away in the forests. Given their supernatural “rebirth”, the Kokiri are granted many boons:
They don’t age, won’t die from age, and are far more resilient to damage: they have an unnaturally fast healing rate, even to the point of being able to grow back limbs should they lose one. Given they retain their youthful stature, they aren’t very physically strong but they are lightning quick with even quicker reflexes, almost akin to that of the deer the Deku modeled them after. They are granted guardian Fairies and gain more magical power than what they once had as a normal child. All of these gifts from the Great Deku in their efforts to give them a better chance at life.
But all of these gifts still have limits, specifically their mortality. They can still be killed, their magic isn’t everlasting, and even with their agelessness, in the end they are children, and remain children physically and mentally.
-The Great Deku Tree may be located deep within the Korok Forest, but his roots spread far and wide all across Hyrule with extensions of himself in every known forest. He is known for his endless wisdom and benevolence, able to see much thanks to the extensions of his roots despite he himself being stuck in one place. The Korok and the Kokiri are results of his doing, ultimately his way of giving life to those who pass within his forests. He often refers to the Korok and Kokiri, and just about every living creature that are under his protection, his “children”, and the Kokiri in turn refer to him as “Father” while the Korok call him “Guardian”.

I didn’t want the fairies to be as generic as teeny tiny humans with insect wings so I explored other options, all of which varied depending on the element the fairy had. For Navi, I figured she’d be an Air fairy and as such, I thought to make her more like a tiny humanoid bird! More human-like than the Rito for sure, but still obviously an entirely different species altogether. I went through a few rough sketches before settling on this one and I gotta say I’m pretty pleased with the result. uwu
I’ll be talking more about her and her fellow fairies in depth later, but for now I hope you enjoy the design! I had a lot of fun working on it. <:

Wonder Woman was shown as canonically bisexual in the main DCU continuity in Wonder Woman: Year One (She was heavily implied to be numerous times before then but it was stated canonically in that comic that she had romantic and sexual relationships with multiple Amazons and left her girlfriend behind to journey to our world to stop the threat of Ares sons bringing chaos and war to the world)
She’s also canonically bisexual in Wonder Woman: Earth One where she straight up tells Steve Trevor that another Amazon is her lover and also in DC Comics Bombshells where she and Mera were girlfriends
Loki is canonically bisexual and generfluid…they have shifted from male to female multiple times stating that both are their real form and Odin, Loki’s father, referred to Loki as “Their child who is both male and female” in a published Marvel comics
And anyone who thinks Deadpool is straight has not only never read the comics but also apparently never been to see either movie either because I’m not sure what part of Deadpool grabbing Colossus’s chrome plated ass and dry humping him made them think “Yeah this is a Totally Straight Hetero Just Bros Being Bros”

I was going to make a joke about how people tell their hairdressers so many personal details that I wouldnt be surprised if someone confessed to murder while I was styling their hair but then I remembered that was an actual thing that happened when I was in cosmetology school
SO when I was in cosmetology school i was in the breakroom and I was telling everyone back there about how my client had just told me about how her dead husband’s head was found at the airport along with 63 other human heads (that’s a story for another day) and everyone started swapping stories about weird things that their client had told them
and then this one girl pipes up and is like “Yeah my client told me about how she killed her husband once.” and we were like EXCUSE ME??? WHAT? and she was like “yeah apparently her husband was coming at her with a knife and she managed to get it away from him and stabbed him like three times”
according to the teachers she had A. told that story to at least three other students in the time she had been coming there and B. It was ruled as self defense so it’s not like she was a criminal who was on the run

OKAY so this one I actually have a lot more context for because it was a firsthand experience buckle the fuck in
So I get this client, she’s an older lady so it was a color retouch and a trim and I was like okay I do this all the time this is gonna be just a super routine and mundane day. So I’m chatting with her just like usual small talk stuff like asking how her day is going and stuff and at some point she says: “I’m actually going to be in the newspaper tomorrow so I needed to get this done so I look good when they take my picture.”
So I’m like “Oh that’s nice! I hope you have fun!” and she goes “It’s not going to be fun, it’s because of a court case. I’m seeking legal action against a funeral home because they stole my husband’s body.” She’s saying this is the most casual tone ever and let me tell you, when someone you don’t know drops information like that on you, it’s the weirdest situation ever
I have NO idea how I’m supposed to react properly to that so I’m just saying “Oh no that’s so terrible!” and she keeps on going
“Yeah his head was found at an airport with 63 other human heads. they removed some of his body parts before they cremated him and sold them illegally. They were using his head at a dental convention in some other country.”
That was the strangest thing a client had ever decided to share with me and i’ve been continuously googling that shit trying desperately to find what she was interviewed for but there’s nothing and I can’t figure out if it’s weirder that she may have lied to me about this crazy story or if it actually happened and she decided to tell a student hairdresser she never met the entire story without being prompted
Before reading the article, I 100% thought the husband’s head had been found at the airport (like in a totally murdered way) BEFORE the funeral home tried to sell it, so I was just thinking that that poor man’s head had been through the ringer
Finally finished my piece for the @roxzinefanzine !!! I could probably keep tweaking adn working on it forever but I have a lot of projects to do, AND I really want to post it for Rose and Roxy’s bday, so I’m gonna let it be finished. I’m really, really happy with how it turned out. Been doing some experiments with realism and it’s not perfect but I do like it a lot. Plus, it was a fun concept and fun to play with. Anyway, enjoy!
