Batman STAND
This is a fun style to emulate. I’ve done it before HERE
What should the stand’s name be? Bat Man is definetly the localised name
Visually it works better like this, but given his nature I think the roles would be reversed. Bruce Wayne would be Batman’s Stand.
People who are genre savvy enough to not buy into the villain baiting them into a fight and just taking the easy solution. Pragmatism at its best.
Captain Marvel (2019) dir. Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck
So many dudes are freaking out about this and it’s beyond funny because this is pretty much every woman’s fantasy reaction to creepy dudes being assholes from the age of like 10 on up. Like 80% of us would do this every time given the slightest chance of getting out of it alive
What kills me about men calling her a villain is that line where she demands his jacket and motorcycle is like, a direct reference to Terminator 2 when the Terminators beats the hell out of an entire bar and then steals a dudes bike and men will lose their shit over that movie all day talking about how cool and badass the scene is but when a women does it suddenly it’s “just because he was rude to her!! She’s so mean :(“
Grow the fuck up.
men are also pissed that she didnt entertain teh idea of fighting hand to hand with the main villain and just blasted him with her energy bolt things. It was a reference to indiana jones. Men are so mad that a woman is doing the funny easy solution things that men did all the time in the 80s action films which this film is an homage to
You mean that one joke villian that was really just indy being sick and tired of fighting dozens of bad guys. Are you comparing that to the hero fighting her old friend, now foe. That trained her and taught her how to fight. In a way to show how much shes grown since the beginning of the movie. Only for her to undramatically do exactly what she did then. No thats just lazy writing.
I was gonna write out a longwinded response but realized that youre just reblogging anyone who made a comment on this post to say theyre wrong which, frankly, is kind of pathetic. My advice to you is this. get off your computer. Go outside. Look around. Smell the flowers and analyse your life so you can see how it got to the point where you have to dispute every single stranger on the internet that enjoy a movie. Think about what your mom would say if she knew you were wasting your life in this manner. Then, maybe, you can actually pull your head out of your ass and make something of yourself.

You mean the scene in Indiana Jones where the guy with the sword could actually harm Indy in any way, and represented a deadly threat which justified a lethal force response, and the joke was “oh, that makes sense, but that’s not what we expected by the conventions of the medium”, compared to a situation where Carol’s old boss was obviously playing the only card he had left even though he knew it almost certainly wouldn’t work?
When you attack someone who can’t retaliate and was not a threat to you or others, that’s generally considered “bullying”. Or “assault”. She blasted him out of nothing but spite.
Oh, and there’s lots and lots of women criticizing this movie too, you misogynist. Stop ignoring women’s voices. Assuming you ever ventured out of your echo chamber long enough to notice them.
bruh, the guy kidnapped her, killed her friend, tried to commit genocide and had brainwashed her. Do you really think he wouldnt have cheated if she DID go along with his fist fight?
