okay i realize it’s funny to imagine a bunch of lawyers scrambling for the monkey bars 

but

judges are more likely to grant parole after their lunch break 

doctors are more likely to prescribe unnecessary antibiotics at the end of the day

decision fatigue makes it harder for everyone to make good decisions about their work, health, and relationships 

having 45 minutes to an hour to just play around in the middle of the day would genuinely be better for everyone

Someone once told me it’s like that because it was designed to be hung in a stairwell so the skull pops out as you walk past.

…I guess it works but you have to be at a pretty sharp angle

There was a whole trend at one point where artists would include something in their paintings (usually a skull, for whatever reason) that’s super distorted in just the right way so that it looks normal if you hold the painting up to a convex/concave mirror. I have absolutely no idea why. But I think that’s what’s going on here.

In case anyone’s curious, here’s what it looks like when you walk past it irl:

It does have a 3D effect to it! It’s pretty neat, guess it would be even more impressive to people from the 14th century.

ATLA: Zuko and his dual swords

I love watching how effortless it is for Zuko to wield the dual swords - he looks so balanced when he’s using them.

None of that emotional crap he has towards firebending - he’s calm, confident and composed. It’s like a whole another person.

I always felt like dual swords was something that was just his. No one else in his family uses weapons. Zuko pursued mastery in private, was allowed to develop his skills normally, with a patient teacher in piandao and no heavy trauma associated with swords.

He is like a different person using them.
