thinking about the guy on reddit that posted a pic of a giant water bug he put on his arm after flipping it over because it was on its back
the sequel: tarantula hawk in an open cup
wheres that pic of the person holding a blue ring octopus?
this is the only image on these internets that has ever seriously made me scream out loud. these things are like, among the most lethal animals on the planet
I’m glad this man seems to be coming around, but also I can’t get over him basically saying, “People, including my own family, are shitty to my child because she’s Welsh, so clearly the problem is her being Welsh!” Instead of, I dunno, realizing that the problem is people around you being shitty to your child.
The fact that he calls it a dead language despite knowing his wife’s whole family speaks it and his daughters school is taught in it is /incredible/
Also that he thinks her native language isn’t welsh because he doesn’t speak it?????
If anyone HASN’T seen the hubbub on art twitter; Jake Parker, the guy who started & branded Inktober is releasing a new book—a repackaged copy of Alphonso Dunn’s Pen & Ink Drawing. Alphonso is a Black artist who literally quit his full time job to write his book; it took 3.5 years and countless hours of figuring out just the right way to teach the subject. Watching his side-by-side comparison made it so much worse as Alphonso explains his thought process; this is one of those cases where words cannot explain how similar the two books are, you just need to experience the video yourself.
This is terrible behavior, especially from the person who was all about copyright and branding, to have turned around and violated someone ELSE’S ideas so egregiously.
I am Silver Tongue, I am an artist. I have many characters and you can check out my art in the art tag. I occasionally practice witchcraft though I don't do anything too complicated. I am girl 2 and don't know what else to put here.
