one of the most interesting and shocking sonic the hedgehog facts to me as a relative outsider is how the “sonic loves chili dogs” thing was started by adventures of sonic the hedgehog. chili dogs straight up were only a part of the western comics and tv shows but never the game’s until unleashed put in chili dog items. now chili dogs appear or are mentioned in every modern sonic game and his love of chili dogs is one of (modern) sonic’s most identifiable character traits. imagine if this happened to any other franchise. imagine if the american megaman cartoon gave megaman a personality trait that eventually turned into one of his main quirks.
I also want to make it abundantly clear this is why people say “fuck cops” and why “Blue Lives Matter” is bullshit. It may only be a “handful” of corrupt cops (which is also bullshit) but it’s the entire institution behind them that enables them and refuses to take any form of accountability. Every single cop is complicit. Every single one.
