I love how the 5e corebook is very clear about how dragonborn do not have tails and literally every player and DM since has unilaterally said “That’s fucking dumb give them a tail :/”
if you give them a big stupid dragon head but no tail theyll be top heavy and fall over. this is so sad 1000 like
Tails are literally the most important part of ANYTHING. How dare they imply otherwise
I remember back in 3e and 3.5 when the descriptions of Tieflings emphasized how subtle their demonic features were supposed to be and all of my friends and I made Tieflings who were like “yeah I’ve got giant black horns and red claws and a barbed tail, what’s your fuckin’ problem?”
You can’t give players a race that’s obviously an outlet for their obscure fetishes and not give them a tail
Did everyone just…. forget how to create, all of a sudden? Disney pumping out the fourth remake in a row? Movies are like 70% sequels? Stories in games being just bad if they exist at all? Haven’t had a book get hyped in like half a decade? Are we okay? What’s going on?
Capitalism demands profit over art
There’s actually a real explanation here, the way copyright law works is you have to actually DO something with the property your copyrighting or you’ll loose it, and we happen to be around a time in which a ton of Disney’s copyrights are set to expire and so they’re churning out remakes in order to be able to keep the copyrights on those properties, this is also the case for why we’ve gotten so many spider Man movies, Sony owned the copyrights but needed to use them or loose them and so they made the tobycguire and Andrew Garfield spiderman movies to basically hold the copyright till they we’re ready to do something better with it which was into the spiderverse, now not every remake is done for that reason but a lot of the time when we get a movie of a long irrelevant franchise revamped it’s because the company needed to make it to hold onto their copyright, that’s how we get stuff like the mrpeabody movie where no one on Earth fucking cared about or remembered mr Peabody but they made a movie anyway so that they don’t loose the rights, and the way our copyright system exists is as stated above a symptom of capitalism
Charlie - Bard of Time, Land of Smog and Haze
Dennis - Thief of Light, Land of Rope and Silver
Mac - Knight of Hope, Land of Steam and Martyrs
Dee - Maid of Heart, Land of Fear and Photography
Frank - Prince of Life, Land of Chitin and Refuse
You will never get an elaboration, just know that I’m right.
Haha whoops ended up drawing Tetra after all. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I’m still not entirely sure how she’d fit in my headcanon but after I did a bit of research on her, I liked her enough to at least draw her! As I usually do for these things, I tweaked her design: I wanted her to look more… sun-kissed? And obviously separate from Zelda since she isn’t any iteration of Zelda in this timeline. She’s her own person and entirely separate from the Princess of Hyrule. uwu
Anyway uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh have some really fast ideas for her possible role in the timeline:
- Petra is a pirate, but she’s far more than just that. She’s known as The Pirate Queen, alpha-dog of the seven seas and class-A Treasure enthusiest! I don’t think she’d be a traditional pirate… more of a “polite, charming thief” as it were. While she prefers to just outright hunt for lost treasure, she isn’t above stealing from other ships (usually the obviously rich ones), she just isn’t cruel about it. She also isn’t above stealing from other pirates, especially crews that are known to terrorize/slaughter their victims: she’d probably find that “unprofessional” and deems them poor excuses of the pirating business.
“Pirate Queen” would probably be thought as more of a title, but the pirates of this world probably does follow some form of loose governing from whomever holds the title of King/Queen. As the “Queen” of pirates, she puts a few rules in place that governs all pirates. There aren’t many and they’re more guidelines than laws, but the biggest are:
1. Don’t target merchant ships. The products are often for the common folks and therefore should be ignored. In the same vein, ships of common-folk must be left alone: no sense going after those who aren’t wealthy
2. The rich and other pirates are entirely fair game. Lost treasure as well
3. Needless slaughter is frowned upon. Should word spread that you’ve been killing your “customers” without reason, a bounty will be placed upon your head for any pirate to target you and do what they desire to you. If you manage to evade the bounties for a certain amount of time, the Queen herself will hunt you down to deal with you personally. Most who draw the Queen’s ire don’t live to tell the tale.
I’d imagine this makes sea-faring generally safer, or at the very lease for the common folk. As such she’s very popular; even high-power political leaders hold a level of begrudging respect for her. The general consensus is “better her than some bloodthirsty tyrant running the pirates” . Charming as she is, she can be every bit the cutthroat pirate as any, and she isn’t a stranger to killing: she didn’t earn the title “queen” for nothing. She has a shark-bite scar on her belly, and lost her ring finger to that very same shark… but she now has its teeth as lovely jewelry she wears on formal occasions.
Tetra currently has a goal, and it’s a huge one: breach the barrier of Old Hyrule and scour the lands for its forgotten riches. But she knows she needs something more than just her crew to get to it… a key, if you will. She just has to find that key…

Aaaaaaaaaaand uh there ya go, some headcanon on Tetra. I might go back and change it up some but I kinda like the direction it’s going. <:
I am Silver Tongue, I am an artist. I have many characters and you can check out my art in the art tag. I occasionally practice witchcraft though I don't do anything too complicated. I am girl 2 and don't know what else to put here.
