My new favourite twitter account is a guy who posts well known optical illusions but without the actual optical illusion, and with captions that explain the optical illusion, and a bunch of people commenting “I only see four legs on the elephant :\” it is SO FUNNY
I JUST learned that this shirt cost them $10,000 to put into this movie… but they refused to compromise because they were like: he’s the hugest Golden Girls fan… this has to make the movie… so they paid $10,000 to use Bea Arthur’s likeness on this shirt… Ryan Reynolds, you’re doing Deadpool so right.
They traded all the guns in the final climactic showdown for Bea Arthur’s face. Worth it.
Reynolds paid it himself, out of pocket. It didn’t come from the budget. He talked with Bea’s sons and they agreed to it for a donation to Bea’s favorite charity. ☺️
I did not know that. That’s so much better than I could have imagined.
You’ll notice that LGBT pride parades are being cancelled, and LGBT people are not complaining and calling it an injustice.
Meanwhile, Christians are calling it an injustice that churches are being closed, and conservatives are calling it an injustice that stay at home orders exist.
That’s because LGBT people actually experience injustices, so they know when an injustice is happening. They face way too many injustices to label everything they don’t like as an injustice. And they’re not defying social distancing orders to have the parade anyway.
We also know the consequences of an unaddressed pandemic.
