I’ve talked about this before but I’ll never get over how Twilight Princess implied Ocarina of Time/Majora’s Mask Link died while his children were still young 😭

for those who aren’t aware:

• the hero’s shade said he can only pass his techniques to people in his lineage
• The hero’s shade is OoT/MM Link
• TP Link can learn these techniques, which means he’s the hero’s shade’s decendent
• Which means OoT/MM Link had to have kids
• For whatever reason, he never taught his kids these techniques
• And Yeah I guess it’s kind of a big assumption to make, but a pretty likely conclusion to be drawn is that Link died before his kids were old enough to learn how to use a sword,,,

IT JUST HURTS A LOT YOU KNOW

Since he’s a Stalfos I always assumed he died of injures in the Lost Woods, probably trying to visit home and getting lost cause hes an adult now?

I’m pretty sure he’s not supposed to be a stalfos, since he was buried at Hyrule Castle

he was cursed though, poor guy. But zelda monsters don’t leave remains, do they?

some thoughts:

-link probably became a night once he was old enough (IE 7 years after ocarina of times ending or 6 after majoras mask)

- He had a kid sometime between this point and his death

-he likely died during the war to capture ganondorf

-He was unable to move on because he was never the hero in the past that he was in the future and never passed on his skills or defeated ganondorf again.

-He himself started his training at 10 or 12 depending on the source. Since he never passed on the skills to his own kids, he likely died before they were this old

-the hero of twilight started his life as a humble farmboy

-the hero of twilight raised epona as a child and knew the song to calm her

-the hero of twilight is links descendant by blood and spirit

I think that its likely that the hero of time ended up with malon.

Also anyone who says that majoras mask is link turning into a stalfos can catch these hands because the bow link gets in termina he brings back with him to hyrule and it becomes the heroes bow in twilight princess

Its been reinforced in twilight princess but it still has the prongs which is missing in the fairies bow from the forest temple in hyrule

So termina was a 100% real place and link went there and came back alive
