Important questions being asked at the Sweet Shop tonight
I always figured that the meteors are a function of whichever players session is being observed. Like if earth before the sburb release existed in a Schrodinger state and like, because we saw johns session, thats whats being observed and that activates the games flags to make them retroactively paradox clones. But like, if we observed the session of the walkthrough rose was reading at the beginning, that player would enter and the meteors are from their session in their perspective.
What I continue to find fascinating that is very well built upon in this movie is the extent to how much the Diamonds and their authority had completely underestimated their gem designs. A sapphire can tell you what a war’s for, a Lapis terraforms, so on and so on; but we can now add that a Spinel is meant to be a sentient My Best Friend™.
And yet, the second those playful, stretching capabilities are applied to combat, it can decimate a fusion, a combat gem, and a combat butler like it’s nothing. Granted, like Amethyst said, they were rusty and on the run back they managed to fend her off; but again, think about that.
Spinel had been motionless for 6000 years and never had genuine combat training. Something with that much latent combat proficiency was left to be a Tickle-Me-Elmo for the elite of the elite.
Ultimately, my point being that Homeworld unknowingly weakened their every conquest by being so shortsighted; for better and for worse.
