jade is weird bc w/ every kidswap you’re taking her tendency to disassociate & introspect a bit too deeply for her own good and applying it to different forms of trauma! OG harley is still a mystery to a lot of fans even those who claim to stan her bc like….there’s a lot to unpack there (honestly i only trust floral and malo with jade analysis bc my friends are so smart lmfao)
as i’ve stated egbert swaps are basically prospitcore by which i mean YES they’re fucked up but they’re blind to WHY and HOW they are, ex john and clowns (which honestly in the candy narrative is so fucking spooky. because for once john is aware of the clown and that it’s bad but no one else can see that…except for a character outside of the narrative). so like. add jade “so, so prospit” to the mix and ultimately../
you get a girl who can’t face her feelings or her experiences so she just keeps going and is a whirlwind, literally. witch or breath slams on the brakes of reality and frees herself from any connections and then rewrites the way it is, how it should be, how it could be. luckily there’s no abusive guardian but god does it get fucked up fast (using powers to “redeem” seems like a jade thing. more on that later tho)
all in all jade = best girl regardless of swap but that goes without saying amiright everypony
