It’s just amazing, like, the era directly before the Great Depression was the Guilded Age, a time when this country had almost no economic regulation and the worst income inequality we’ve seen (the second worst is today, funny, that). Pro-buiness Republicans dominated then, since this was basically the time right after the Progressives were booted out of the Party. Policies similar to Bernie’s, frankly milquetoast, reforms are what helped us get out of the Depression.

This a self-own on some many levels, it’s amazing.
