the weirdest thing about minecraft is that we literally just dont know where it came from. like nobody made it??? some people just like… found the original software code inscribed in a cave somewhere or some shit and put it together and realized it was a game. its crazy how we dont even know who created it
the code was written in binary on two sets of ruins, one red and one blue. It took 12 people to get all the code coded and play the original minecraft session that created the minecraft we know now.
Terrorist attacks are bad regardless of the form. I heard about the attack on the radio as the events were still being reported since I worked late that night. It’s horrible. Regarding pewdiepie you can’t completely control the fans that follow you but in the same regard you can shape who feels included and excluded by the things you do and don’t say. For example The Wiggles aren’t exactly known for having a punk rock following. As a creator you market yourself (whatever that happens to mean) and people who feel at home with you will watch you.

shit dude i swear to god i was the livejournal equivalent of mutuals w this dude in like 2006. he listened to gabber and industrial and that community used to be small as shit online and by the mid 00s raves in the US went kinda quiet thanks to the [failed] RAVE act, so finding other ravers outside of rave-specific forums was rare. he went by “rubber jackal” (he was obv into latex/rubber) and used to have his rubber fursuit as his LJ icon:
