The list of businesses dropping the NRA is growing
Dicks isn’t dropping the NRA, it’s better. Following Sandy Hook, they quit selling AR-15 rifles and equivalents at their main stores, only selling them at their specific hunting locations. Now, they’re pulling AR-15s from all stores, they won’t sell guns at all to anyone under the age of 21, they won’t sell high capacity mags or bump stocks, and they’re calling for stricter gun laws to be put in place. That’s about as much as they CAN do, short of not selling guns at all. It won’t help, but I like seeing a company take a moral stand like this for something that will probably cost them money long-term.
When my parrot wants pets off someone he’ll go up to them, say hello, and lower his head to expose his neck. Recently, however, he’s been doing this to a pitch black crevice behind the couch, even trying to cajole the darkness with kissy noises and getting sad when the void won’t pet him. How do I explain that dark chasms are not friends?

trying to get research for my comic so I asked Portland reddit for ideas and of course one person responded “sounds like gravity falls” when all I said was it’s a “paranormal fantasy adventure in NW Oregon”
no matter how different it is that’s probably gonna be constantly brought up
and it bugs me because I GREW UP HERE
I have EVERY right to make my own story here
and Gravity Falls didn’t invent weirdness or the ghost/monster hunting genre
that is something I’ve been passionate about since childhood
it’s not fair that just because someone beat me to it I’m suddenly not allowed to do it without being called a ripoff
if its any consolation, there are people who claim that shadow of the colossus is ripoff of attack on titan so no matter what and when somehting is made people will be stupid
a college republican went crying to tucker carlson last night because some black classmates photoshopped his face onto a literal cracker
