No matter how precisely you try to phrase something, there’s at least one person out there who will find a way to misinterpret you in a way that no reasonable person ever would in order to confirm some existing biases.

hm….maybe the reason Percy seems more powerful compared to the other big three kids is because he genuinely loves the ocean while everyone else either only sees their powers as a weapon or they associate it with trauma.
