Jack and the doctor are thousands of years old so they have more inner demons than regular ponies. Or they’re from another dimension and don’t have as high resistance to chaos magic as the native ponies. Those are my theories. Maybe it’s both.
The reason they killed Loki in the first ten minutes is because Loki absolutely would not have hesitated to kill Vision, or steal the time stone.
