Outside of Tumblr, I’ve honestly only ever heard the phrase “boys will be boys“ to mean “boys will be lovable goofballs who do dumb shit to entertain themselves”, not “boys will be rapists”.

This is the plot of leverage. An ex insurance agent, a hacker, a thief, a grifter and a former hitman form a group that commits several crims in order to; bring money and closure to people hurt by the rich and the assholes get the rich or assholes arrested by tricking them into either confessing their crimes or getting them to commit new crims or take the fall for the teams crimes get some extra money for themselves.
