I rewatched The Trial and noticed something that not many people seem to be talking about.
Remember when a large portion of the SU fandom actually thought that Yellow Diamond was a suspect to Pink’s shattering? I mean, the way she acted during the trial as Blue Zircon made accusations towards the diamonds was pretty peculiar. It was like she was hiding something.
But that’s just it though.
I think we just misread her behavior as a whole.
She’s looks either offended that anyone would even accuse her of shattering a member of her family
OR
She actually believes it herself that she played some part in having Pink disappear from their lives. She said it herself in Reunited.
“How miserable. I knew Pink couldn’t handle her own colony. But I gave in. And now, I’m to blame for her fate.”
This really strengthens her character and doesn’t give her the whole cookie-cutter villain persona. Yellow has deep, hidden emotions that she expresses in difficult ways which gives her a cruel undertone. And I fucking love this show even more.
Hey remember that episode of Spongebob where Sandy sings about being homesick for Texas and Spongebob and Patrick overhear it and are worried that she’s going to leave Bikini Bottom so they have a Texas party at the Krusty Krab with all their friends, recreating things in Sandy’s song but they fuck it up like, pecan pie is just a can of peas shoved in a pie, barbeque is barbed wire in the shape of a Q, and the ten gallon hats are just plastic water jugs on their heads, and like…. so there’s this terrible spotify ad (i don’t have premium because unemployed. boo) from biore, about their ridiculous nose strips, and i want to throw something across the room every damn time i hear it. FIRST OFF, those “blackheads” on your nose usually aren’t even blackheads, they’re sebaceous filaments. if your skin is properly washed and exfoliated, then they’re not dirt, they’re supposed to be there. they’re just going to come back and biore KNOWS THAT, so they have that awful ad telling you that they look “dirty” and disgusting (their words!!! idk about the word disgusting but i know they used dirty and the entire ad is very very self esteem-killing) so you’ll keep on buying the damn nose strips for a fake condition that isn’t going to go away. you can diminish their appearance using AHA exfoliants, but they will be back within 24-48 hours if you try to remove them.
in other words: fuck you and your predatory scam, biore. throw out ur biore strips guys.
