I’ve actually played the default iPhone ringtone at full blast at Jo-Ann’s during a quick shopping trip.  Just so I could make them slow down to dig their purses out from under a giant pile of bulk fabric, so I could get to the only open checkout lane with my ten items before I had to spend half an hour waiting for them.

I am, in fact, going to hell. But I’m having fun on the way I guess.

The early games were a bit too restrictive for my tastes, but when Symphony of the Night came out, the series really came into its own artistically and mechanically. The whole game has an appealing gothic design and a new tightness to the controls that really gives the gameplay a big boost. It’s been compared to Super Metroid, but I think SOTN has a much more dark and fantastical presentation.

The RNC sent me a notice of official census material that was actually a fundraiser for the republican candidates running in the midterms. The paperwork was presented as being an official document required to be filled out by law, but it was patently false. This is corruption. This is meant to deceive people into giving data and money to a political party under the guise of nonpartisan census data. This undermines trust in the census, local government, and the democratic process. This is beyond disgusting, and I’m mailing back the form to tell the RNC how I really feel about their bullshit.
