Hey all! I think it’s time for another art contest to promote the world of My Magic Grandpa! This time around we’ll be exploring the ghosts of this world!
The Deadline: August 15th
The Contest: Pick your favorite type of ghost from the list below after the ‘read more’ break and come up with a new ghost of that type for the comic! Draw them and include a story about them, how they died, what kind of ghost they are, and for extra bonus include a blurb about why that type of ghost is your favorite! (Note: You’ll be designing this ghost for use by MMG, so if you’re not comfortable with the character being used by someone else for a project, you probably don’t want to do this contest)
Please be sure there’s at least decent quality, any art level is fine but blurry photos or super pixelated images not so much. We want to SEE the art after all!

The Prizes:
1st Prize: You will win a $60 full color commission +The winning ghost will be the main feature of an entire chapter of My Magic Grandpa and may even become a recurring character! (Note this will be years from now but still, your idea will for sure be used)

Everyone: All of your ghosts will have the potential to appear in the comic, ranging from a short appearance to a more important role, all depending on what the idea inspires for me. Also, EVERY submission will receive a positive review when it comes time to announcing the winners, regardless of skill level. I’m judging the idea, not the art level.
One time my friend made a kobold swashbuckler for a 3.5 campaign. It went something like this.
Kobold: I want to roll my acrobatics check to walk across the deck of the boat.
Dm: okay what’s your check bonus
Kobold (ooc): oh no uhm well it appears when I was writing in the numbers on this character sheet I put all my skill points in diplomacy in stead of acrobatics. (Take note these to skills are like 5 skills apart, he’s just bad at writing)
Dm: well if you wanna change them that’s cool with me
Kobold ooc: fuck it guess I’m a diplomat.
Kobold: dear captain if you would be so kind as to make me the captain of this boat you won’t regret it
Dm: Nat 20 you are now the proud owner of a boat you can’t stand up straight on!
in the real life goodsprings, they have a picture of fallout new vegas on one of the saloon walls

Hey I’ve been there! Goodsprings is actually a ghost town off of the interstate, and was slowly losing tourism and business. Then the developers from Bethesda and obsidian went down to goodsprings and told them they where planning on making a game with goodsprings as the starting point. Fast forward a few years, and tourism has been boosted exponentially by people coming to see the real place their favourite game started in!
TL:DR: fallout new Vegas may have actually saved goodsprings from going bankrupt as a business and they owe a lot to them and appreciate the business they revcive because of it!
