I’m sure this quote is totally verbatim…

Either way, you don’t really get to be upset that you weren’t invited to a march to protect women’s rights if you’re against women’s rights and support laws that literally kill women.

Go to your pro-life marches. You don’t welcome feminists there - you shouldn’t expect to be welcome in places that respect women.

^^^^^^^^

  1. This is not a quote.  It is a cartoon.

  2. Abortion is not a woman’s ‘right’.  There is no right to murder an innocent human being.

  3. There are no laws that literally kill women.

  4. Feminists are welcome at pro-life marches.

  5. Pro-life marches respect all women, even the unborn ones.

1. I’m aware. The point was that your cartoon doesn’t depict reality. You shouldn’t have to make up fake arguments to fight against.

2. Abortion is literally human right. Forcing someone to remain pregnant and give birth against their will is a violation of bodily autonomy and basic human rights. It doesn’t matter if the person using another person’s body is “innocent,” nobody, born or unborn, has the right to do so.

3. 70,000 people will die this year as a result of unsafe abortion. 5 million more will suffer from serious health complications. [x] Not only does making abortion illegal kill people - it also typically increases abortion rates (and maternal mortality rates). Laws that accomplish nothing but increased unsafe abortion rates are laws that kill women!

4. Yes, feminists have the right to protest pro-“life” marches. That doesn’t mean we are welcome there. Believing pregnant people have a right to their own bodies goes directly against the status quo of being pro-“life.” (Pro-tip: you aren’t much of a feminist if you support laws that directly aim to take away rights from women and that lead to their deaths!)

5. Even unborn ones, but excluding pregnant ones that you’re literally marching to take rights away from by any means necessary and disregarding the fact that your policies kill them.

I would love to meet one pro lifers that actually respects women.

i think it was in the new TTAZZ, when the boys were talking about their first ‘WTF’ moments or like, when things started feeling ‘real’ while playing, and I remember Justin talked about how Taako was actually really upset they weren’t able to save Hurley and Sloan.

It’s funny ‘cause I do remember that! It was the arc where Taako started really feeling like his own person. He had that little mongoose tangent, somewhat played as a joke, but at the same time (due to the humor, even), it came off as extra earnest and somehow tragic. It really WAS Taako’s first ‘oh shit this guy is like, for real, this character is a person now’

And I remember when Griffin described that Hurley wasn’t going to make it, and the way Justin/Taako sounded so genuinely upset that they couldn’t help! I thought it was really interesting at the time.

So idk it’s just cool that I also noticed that as a significant moment for Taako, like it’s not just a ‘let me retroactively decide this was the moment now that everything’s over and done with’. It was a really natural growth, you can hear it in the delivery.
