I’ve actually had to explain what a tip is to waitresses before. They thought it was change and kept trying to give it back to us.
I tipped a waiter in Berlin for a glass of water when I was suffering severe dehydration. On my way out I heard the wait staff laughing about the 5 euro coin I left on the table.
me: *misses my train by 6 seconds*
me: if i didnt stop to look at that bird that one time when i was 10 i would have been 6 second ahead in life and this wouldn’t have happened.
