Troll pastafarianism makes a ton of sense. I mean, the Flying Spaghetti Monster looks like a horrorterror. And I’m sure most trolls know about Gl'bgolyb, if not other horrorterrors.
What if troll pastafarianism is a covert rebel movement disguised as a parody religion? Since they’d be mocking the empress’ lusus, but the absurdity of the whole thing would distract from that.

I remember reading about this in an interview Larsen did with… I wanna say Wizard. It took him five years to set up a stupid joke. Introducing Amanda in year one of Dragon and charting her relationships and what have you until she ended up marrying a guy named Bruce Love, only for her to be kidnapped by a badguy in this issue. It was all completely background stuff and just seemed to take up space but it was all so that Larsen could write this one page and tell this joke. That’s completely insane but it’s such a great stupid joke.
