Editor’s Note: People have misinterpreted this post as a criticism of individual recruiters when it is meant to highlight the predatory nature of recruitment in general. It’s the difference between institutional function and the “few bad apples” kind of myth. The function of recruiters, especially in high schools, is predatory – making all who do it culpable.
this is 100% the art style of someone who learned to draw people and animals by copying Disney movies and exclusively draws Disney Princesses as Hipsters or assets for Disney Princess Hipster flash dressup games with like 5 dress options for extra cash on weekends off their office job at an insurance company and/or in between freshman CalArts classes (theyre getting a degree in character animation), but unfortunately they never learned how to draw anything BUT Disney characters in the exact style of Disney characters. also Tangled is their favorite disney movie (theyre very excited for the tv series) and they made one of those long tumblr posts justifying the racism in Peter Pan.
lucretia has dark skin. she doesn’t have Light Brown skin. she doesn’t have Medium Brown skin. she canonically has been described, both when young and when older, as having “dark skin and light hair.”
if you take this to mean that she looks like beyonce, please take a minute to google image “dark skinned women,” and everyone please think twice about reblogging fanart with lightened lucretias. thank you for your time
the whole “person living in a fantasy land doesnt believe in fairy tales” thing doesnt bother me at all. we got irl people that think dinosaurs arent real. what do you expect
