John Egbert is one of the main characters in Homestuck. He
is, in fact, the first character we see when we start reading the comic and the
last one we see when we finish. Honestly, when I first saw him I was like “wat.
Who the shit is this idiot. Look at his hair. And he doesn’t have arms??”
But then as the story progressed, John became my favorite character. I
loved to see how much he cared for his friends and for everyone in general. He
was so sweet and polite and he was chosen as the leader of the Beta kids. For
the entirety of Homestuck, I continued to see John as a really great character.
However there were some things
about him
that kind of
bugged me . And I’m going to discuss them under the cut.

and it’s not even really the straight ship that sucks, what sucks about the ship is that it’s usually written poorly. Like, straight people have if ingrained in their mind that relationships are supposed to be miserable so they write their ships without any love.
