I think the episode was written during the time laruen zuke was harassed off twitter so the real message of the episode is that bloggers who only spend their time theorizing about what the crystal gems are and aren’t have no authority to tell the people who are gems (or write the gems) what it means to be a gem. Basically the gist of it was “tumblr chill the fuck out and let us write our goddamn show”
i love this image because its set up like this really complex bit of speculative technology for non humans , but really its just a chair with a hole. we have those in the real world. i dont even have any chairs wwithout holes like this. fucking furries
