Another issue is that you’re not gonna change anyone’s mind that way. When you hit someone for their point of view, that point of view doesn’t change, no matter how shitty it is. That point of view gets strengthened. Like, think about it? If someone assaults you for your opinion do you go “oh jeez I guess I’m wrong”?
And you keep hitting them? They’re going to defend them self. And when I say that I don’t mean the nazis will punch back. I mean if you go around punching actual legit nazis, there’s gonna start being a lot of nazis with guns and knives.
And when you continue to attack them, best case scenario you’re going to jail for assault or murder with a brand new hole. Worst case you’re going to be fucking dead. And it won’t be murder, it will be self defense. The law will be on their side. Do you want a bunch of goddamn nazis to be able to kill people with little to no legal repercussion? BECAUSE THAT SOUNDS FUCKING HORRIBLE.
Except that it’s not a matter of different political opinions, Richard spencer literally IS a nazi. He was a part of a neonazi organization before they rebranded themselves as alt right and has been very vocal about his antisemetic views as well as his belief in white supremacy. And punching him twice WAS effective because; A) he is now afraid to express his racist beliefs for fear of being punched and B) there was an armed nazi march against jews that was canceled because the town they were going to march through stood against them and some of the townspeople reported that seeing the nazi getting punched is what gave them the courage to stand up against the large group of nazis.
Conservatives have so much fucking nerve talking about how “ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS ARE OUT OF CONTROL” when absolutely no-one feels inconvenienced by them or has ever even encountered them in their personal lives unless they’re the CEO’s of a megaconglomerate bitter that they couldn’t rip up a national park and buy like their fifth house boat
I just realized something. There was a lot of hate on bronies.
But one thing people forgot, it gave many of them something to draw, like an inspiration, and im sure many stepped onwards to other styles and thats cool.
Because they did something they like.
if it wasnt for the small horses, I probably never would have had the courage/support to start drawing in the first place.
And the musicians.
And writers.
And voice actors.
