Okay, this is gonna take a while to explain, but I find this too hilarious not to share, so bear with me.
Assassin’s Creed 4 has this DLC called Freedom Cry, which is basically about the black best friend of the main game’s protagonist liberating a bunch of black slaves.
Now, at certain amounts of slaves freed, you get prizes, such as health and ammo upgrades or new items. The last prize, which you get for saving 500 slaves, is only marked as “special reward.”
This prize is, in fact, 4000 of what they call “Abstergo credits”, which is basically money you can spend to buy customization items in the game’s multiplayer. You normally receive an amount of these credits after every game session, based on how well you did.
That’s all well and good. Relative to the game’s prices, 4000 credits is a pretty decent amount. Not too little, not too much. Felt like a decent reward.
The thing is, when I started up my game again the next day, I’d received another 4000 credits.
Turns out that whenever I boot up the game now, I get 4000 credits. Every single time. A seemingly infinite amount of times.
Obviously, I’m exploiting the hell out of this.
I have to assume this is a glitch or a bug or something, cause this pretty much ruins the game’s entire economy and levelling system. I don’t know if this bug exists in every copy of the game or just mine, but I hope Ubisoft never catches wind of it and fixes it. They probably won’t, with 2 new Assassin’s Creed games on the horizon, but still.
I’m laughing my ass off.
